Balance and respect for
the environment

Fine balance shows through in Château La Dominique, thanks to the estate's respect for the terroir and desire to work with it rather than denature it. The vines are looked after meticulously. Sustainable viticulture is practised in order to limit La Dominique's environmental impact. This entails respect for biodiversity, use of natural vine treatment products, mating disruption, etc. Five hectares are fully organic, on an experimental basis.
Each plot is looked after with the greatest attention throughout the seasons. The emphasis on performance must never be detrimental to the environment. Château La Dominique has obtained ISO 14001 certification and also qualified for the High Quality Environmental (HQE) standard.

Balanced ageing

The cellarmaster's aim during the 16 months of ageing is to preserve the wine's intrinsic fruitiness. Sixty percent ages in new oak barrels and the rest in barrels used for one previous vintage, amphorae, and stainless steel vats. Château La Dominique always shows subtle balance. Winemaking methods are re-examined every year.
