Red, the colour of political commitment
For its second summer exhibition, the Château La Dominique broadens the reflection introduced in 2018 on the role played by the colour red in art. The theme chosen is red as the colour of commitment. Political commitment, certainly, but in the broadest possible sense, referring to all that deals with the polis, that is, the life of the city. This exhibition incorporates several different mediums: painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, video and installation. Jérémy Gobé is realising a site-specific installation entitled Liberty guiding the wool. This exhibition is organised in collaboration with the CAPC (Bordeaux), the FRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine MÉCA (Bordeaux), the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain (Paris), the gallery Odile Ouizeman (Paris), the gallery ANALIX FOREVER (Geneva) and Les Films Pelléas.
It also receives support from the Société Générale Direction Régionale Grand Sud-Ouest.
